About the Granny Go Go Team
Granny Go Go is a team of mature adults who are compassionate, caring and understanding. The rule every team member follows is “Always treat a client the way you would want to be treated.”
Our Commitment is to provide a competent and caring variety of companion and transportation services, and to ensure our clients are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.
The team goes the extra mile when it comes to supplying comfort, security and safety to their clients. They offer a one-on-one companion/transportation service, each vehicle carrying blankets, pillows, first aid kit, flashlights, cd’s for easy listening (sometimes a client doesn’t want to talk) bottled water, and miscellaneous other items to ensure a pleasurable trip for our clients. All vehicles are easy to get in and out of, and can accommodate folded wheelchairs and walkers. As long as a client can do a pivot transfer into our vehicles we will take them where they need to go. The team also has access to a wheelchair, transport chair and walker if one is not available for their clients.
All vehicles carry 5 million liability insurance and the company has an additional 5 million unowned insurance clause in place for the team. All team members carry cell phones with them at all times for emergency purposes and all team members have first aid/CPR certification, clean drivers abstracts, have submitted criminal record checks to the company and are covered by WorkSafe BC.
Granny Go Go is recognized by Veterans’ Affairs and does extensive work for the local medical authorities and Social Workers, transferring ambulatory discharge patients to their homes, ensuring their safety and comfort requirements are met; as well as transporting clients to and from dialysis, and to and from out-of-town medical appointments.
Our team members come from retired or semi-retired ministers, nurses, engineers, bookkeepers, loggers, clerks, reiki masters, holistic medicine experts, have taken the palliative care program, Alzheimer’s program, and a variety of other professionals and professions. This enables Bonnie to match up a client and companion that are well suited to each other.
